When most people hear the term “desert”, images of sand dunes, extreme heat and buzzards flying overhead instantly come to mind.
But truth be told, not all deserts are hot, nor are they hospitable to buzzards.

We earthlings are blessed to live on an incredibly beautiful planet, and few sights in nature can compare with the night sky over the Earth’s north and south poles.

As you probably know, all of our planet’s longitudinal lines (also known as meridians) converge at the geographic South Pole.
For that reason, the South Pole doesn’t have an officially designated Time Zone.
