I was born, raised and currently live just a few minute’s drive from the Virginia/Tennessee state line and I’ve visited and traveled through our southern neighbor countless times over the years.
It’s probably safe to say that I know just about as much about Tennessee as anyone who isn’t actually from there, but there are several very interesting facts about the state that I didn’t know until I watched the short video featured below.
After researching the facts presented I have concluded that virtually all of them are indisputably true. There is some debate about the accuracy of a couple of them but there is no hard proof that even the disputed ones are untrue.
As you will see if you take a few minutes to watch the video, Tennessee is easily one of America’s most intriguing states.
Watch, and enjoy…
As I mentioned above, I live just a few minutes away from the Virginia/Tennessee state line. In fact, I can drive across the border into the beautiful northeastern region of the state in about 20 minutes.
My maternal grandparents lived in the Stoney Creek community of Carter County and my family visited them often. After my native Virginia, I have always considered Tennessee (and northeast Tennessee in particular) to be my beloved second home state.
If you have a similar affinity for east Tennessee you might enjoy one of these. (#ad)
