The late Hank Williams, Sr. wrote and performed a number of wonderful gospel songs during his short lifetime and career, including the ever-popular “I Saw the Light”.
Hank’s songs have been covered countless times by other artists and I’d love to share one of my favorites with you today.
Trey Hensley is one of my favorite performers, partially because he grew up in my neck of the woods. Well, pretty close anyway (about 40 miles away as the crow flies, in Jonesborough, TN).
Trey has been a local favorite since he was a child, and I mean that literally. After all, he made his Grand Ole Opry debut at age 11. He’s a fantastic singer and one of the most best guitarists in the world.
The short video below features Trey singing the timeless Hank Williams classic “House of Gold”. I invite you to watch, listen and enjoy.
By the way, as awesome as this performance is, it doesn’t really reflect Trey’s mastery of the guitar. There is literally no one better. If you don’t believe me, check out his videos on YouTube.
