Living (and loving) Life
Dogs tend to be happy creatures by nature, but I believe the happiest of all are shelter dogs who are lucky enough to be adopted into a loving home.
Funding and personnel shortages result in many shelter dogs ending up being euthanized instead of adopted, and that’s a real shame.
With very few exceptions, these animals are just as friendly and loving as the ones you’d find at a pet store.
If you and your family would love to bring a furry new family member into your home, I urge you to skip the pet store and visit your local animal shelter to check out all the wonderful pets that are awaiting adoption.
By choosing to adopt, you could end up literally saving a life while also making yours a whole lot better.
It’s true that just one family can’t change the lives all shelter dogs, but just one family – your family – can change (and maybe even save) the life of ONE dog with your love and generosity.
To finish up, here’s a fantastic short video depicting the joy these wonderful creatures experience when they realize they’re getting ready to leave the shelter with their new adopted family members. I hope you enjoy it.
