Don’t you just love it when you approach a railroad crossing just as the safety arms start coming down?
You sit there waiting for the train to pass, hoping that it will be a short one so you can make it to your appointment on time. For what seems like an eternity you wait and watch as car after car slowly passes by, making that extremely loud clanking noise every time the wheels roll over one of the joints in the tracks.
Finally, the last car rolls past and the safety arms rise back into their vertical resting positions. Now you have to wait for the long line of cars in front of you to move along before you can resume your journey.
In general I’m not an impatient person but there’s just something about having to wait for a long, slow train to pass that makes it one of the rare exceptions.
If you feel the same way you’ll wish every train was like the one in this video. It’s only two cars long and it really whizzes past the crossing in a jiffy. Check it out.
