The massive amount of snow that fell on western New York state a few weeks ago got me to wondering just how tall the tallest snowfalls in history must have been.
Of course there’s no way to know how much snow fell in many parts of the world in centuries past, but the video featured below lists the 10 tallest snowfalls that were ever recorded as of four years ago.
I have a feeling the snowfall that recently hit New York might have surpassed a couple of the ones mentioned in the video, but what you’ll see is still quite amazing.

I can’t even imagine having to deal with snowfalls of that magnitude. My little corner of Virginia gets plenty enough for me.
