Video: Hank Williams, Sr. singing the timeless gospel classic “Calling You”

Posted on March 2, 2024

As I mentioned in these posts, Country Music icon Hank Williams, Sr. wrote and and performed some of the most beloved and influential gospel songs of all time.

Hank’s legacy extends far beyond the world of Country Music, the genre for which he is best known. His work had a profound and enduring impact on gospel as well.

He performed dozens of cherished old hymns and gospel songs over the course of his short life, and today I’m featuring the timeless classic “Calling You”, one of my all-time favorite Hank Williams inspirational works.  [Read more…]

Why being early is almost always better than being late

Living (and loving) Life

Chances are you know someone who never seems to show up on time.

Whether it’s a business meeting, a college class, a church service or a doctor appointment, they always seem to arrive five minutes after things have already gotten started.

The purpose of this post isn’t to chastise those folks. Some of the people I most admire and some of the most successful people I know have issues with punctuality.

And guess what? It’ll make your day better too.

I’d like to tell you a quick story…

Living (and loving) Life

Confession time…

I have always been fascinated and intrigued by thunder and lightning!

Why? Because few things in nature are better at combining incredible beauty with feelings of danger and fear.
