If you’re an experienced Internet user you probably use the Firefox web browser at times.
I’ve had several people ask me how Firefox got its name, and the answer is actually quite interesting.
In the early days Mozilla referred to their new browser as Firebird, and they used that name for a good while.

Chances are you’re familiar with the frozen meals sold in grocery stores.
You know the ones I’m talking about. They usually come in a tray that includes some sort of meat entrée (Salisbury steak, anyone?) along with a couple of vegetables and/or a dessert item.
When I was growing up those frozen meals were referred to as “TV dinners”.
Busy moms seemed to love them but most everyone else preferred enjoying a home-cooked meal.

Like most people you’ve probably heard of Chicago, Illinois.
And Atlanta, Georgia.
And Boston, Massachusetts.
But have you ever heard of Ding Dong, Texas?
How about Idiotville, Oregon?
Or perhaps the ever-festive Santa Claus, Indiana?

Take a drive down most any country road or Interstate highway that passes through rural America and you’ll see lots of barns.
And if you pay attention, you’ll probably notice that almost every barn that’s painted will be red!
If you ask a dozen people why that is you’ll likely receive a dozen different answers.
But there’s really only one correct answer…
