Q&A: Am I legally required to show my receipt when exiting a store?

Question from Alice:  I’ve been shopping at the same Walmart for years and they’d never asked to see my receipt as I’m leaving until recently.

Am I legally required to show it to them. I paid for the stuff and it’s mine.

Do I really have to show them my receipt if I did nothing wrong? It feels like an invasion of privacy to me. Sometimes I buy things that I don’t necessarily want a stranger to know about.  [Read more…]

It was close to midnight on a hot summer Sunday night as I was driving down a lonely stretch of I-20 between Columbia, South Carolina and Augusta, Georgia.

If you’re like me you probably know few, if any of the actual phone numbers of the people on your phone’s Contacts List.

When all you have to do is tap on someone’s name to place a call it’s very easy to forget their actual phone number over time.

Unfortunately, this could cause major problems at some point in the future.
