Video: How the beautiful (and massive) Gateway Arch was built

The beautiful (and massive) Gateway Arch has been welcoming visitors to St. Louis for generations and most of those visitors probably never even gave a thought to how it was built.

Unlike skyscrapers and other incredibly tall objects, the Arch would have to be built in two sections, each of which leaned well past vertical – and then meet at the top with perfect precision.  [Read more…]
