I’m sure you’ve noticed how many commercials there are interrupting our favorite TV shows these days.

The latest stat I saw indicated that the average 30 minute show is actually only about 20 minutes long. The other 10 minutes are filled with two or more strings of commercials.

And it might just be me, but it seems like the content of many of today’s commercials makes very little sense, often never even mentioning the products they are supposed to be promoting.  [Read more…]

I have always enjoyed multiple genres of music and a wide variety of artists. Two singers that I have really liked for a long time are Daryle Singletary and Rhonda Vincent.

Daryle and Rhonda are best known as solo artists in different genres (Country and Bluegrass, respectively), but not long before Daryle’s untimely passing in 2018 they started teaming up as duet partners, singing a number of country classics as well as several songs that were written either by them, or for them.  [Read more…]

I have read this quote many times over the years and it always makes me pause and think.

Every human being on planet Earth is fighting some type of battle, and while another person’s battle might not be apparent others, to that person it is very, very real.

Think diamonds are rare? Well, that’s actually just a myth.

It’s widely believed that diamonds are extremely rare, hence the high prices we’re willing to pay for diamond jewelry.

But guess what? Diamonds aren’t really rare at all.

Truth be told, that’s just a carefully-crafted myth designed to keep both the desire to acquire them and the prices we have to pay for them as high as possible.
