Why do we always see the same side of the moon?

I was pointing out the “man in the moon” to my 7 year old daughter when I realized he’s always there every time I look up at the moon.

As I mentioned in these posts, Country Music icon Hank Williams, Sr. wrote and and performed some of the most beloved and influential gospel songs of all time.

Hank’s legacy extends far beyond the world of Country Music, the genre for which he is best known. His work had a profound and enduring impact on gospel as well.

Chances are you know someone who never seems to show up on time.

Whether it’s a business meeting, a college class, a church service or a doctor appointment, they always seem to arrive five minutes after things have already gotten started.

The purpose of this post isn’t to chastise those folks. Some of the people I most admire and some of the most successful people I know have issues with punctuality.

But that being said, I believe it’s best to always strive to be on time. And truth be told, being a little early is even better.

When you help someone, you make two lives just a little better

Most of us see and interact with other people almost every day as we go about living our daily lives.

Regardless of where you happen to be, if there are other people around it’s a good bet that someone there could use a little help of some kind.

Whether it’s the child in the corner store who’s 8 cents short of having enough money to buy a candy bar or the old man at the pharmacy who’s having trouble reading the label on a bottle of cough medicine, helping out with a little spare change or an extra pair of eyes can make a person’s day just a little better.

And guess what? It’ll make your day better too.
