Every now and then I’ll hear someone say something like this:

“I’ve always wanted to do so-and-so, but I never could find the time.“

Each and every one of us will go to our grave with unfulfilled wishes and at least a few things remaining on our “bucket list”, simply because we never “found” the time to do some of the things we most wanted to do.

Since Mercury is the closest planet to the sun, shouldn’t it also be the hottest planet in our solar system.

Well, one would think so, but that isn’t the case.

The planet Venus (the second planet from the sun) is actually hotter than any of the other planets, Mercury included.

How to prevent getting zapped by static electricity

Have you ever touched a doorknob, a car door or some other metal object and ended up getting zapped by a static discharge?

I have too, and it’s no fun.

A typical static discharge can transfer 20,000 volts or more from your body to a metal object, resulting in a visible spark and a very painful zap.

That’s literally like getting struck by a miniature lightning bolt!
