Our world is full of places that are just overflowing with stunning natural beauty and I love sharing some of that beauty and wonder with you via photos and videos.

While there is plenty to see and enjoy in various countries around the globe, I really love featuring everything America has to offer the most. After all, this is home to me.

If you’ve been following my blogs and newsletters for a while you know how much I love the aurora, the gorgeous colorful light shows that paint the skies above the far northern and far southern regions of our planet.

It’s highly unusual for the Northern Lights (aurora borealis) to be visible as far south as Arizona, but it does happen on rare occasions. One such occurrence took place on May 10, 2024.  [Read more…]

My dad and mom used to love to sit and watch the little birds dine at the feeders they had placed outside their home. And truth be told, I sort of enjoy watching them myself.

Our world is blessed with countless species of colorful creatures, and our feathered friends are surely leading the way.

Well, as it always does, spring has arrived to mark the end of another long winter. While most of the trees in my neck of the woods have yet to show any spring buds, a few here and there are already in full bloom.

The beautiful crocuses always get the ball rolling in late February by popping up through the snow to give us a preview of what the coming spring will bring, but for me it’s the greening of the grass in mid-March that’s the surest sign that spring is about ready to pop up on the calendar.  [Read more…]

The United Kingdom is famous the world over for its iconic “Bluebell Woods”, the best-known of which are located in England.

As you ‘ll see in the short time-lapse video below, these wooded areas are carpeted with millions of colorful bluebell flowers that come alive every spring, adding a splash of color to our world.  [Read more…]
